Pest Control Services in Bicol Region by Termirite
Bicol, known formally as the Bicol Region or colloquially as Bicolandia, is an administrative region of the Philippines, designated as Region V. Bicol comprises six provinces, four on the Bicol Peninsula mainland (the southeastern end of Luzon) – Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Sorsogon – and the offshore island provinces of Catanduanes and Masbate.
The regional center is Legazpi City and has one Independent Component City, the pilgrim city of Naga. The region is bounded by the Lamon Bay to the north, the Philippine Sea to the east, and the Sibuyan Sea and Ragay Gulf to the west. The northernmost provinces, Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur, are bordered to the west by the province of Quezon.
Swimming with whale sharks (known locally as butanding), the world’s largest fish, is the activity most people associate with this part of the world, but there’s plenty more outdoorsy fun to be had in the Bicol region – both on the water and on land. And when you need to relax, there’s a lot of scope for that on the white-sand beaches.
Agriculture is the largest source of income for the Bicol Region. Commercial fishing comes close second, with coastal towns in Sorsogon and Camarines Norte, and island provinces of Masbate and Catanduanes, the province has thirteen major fishing grounds that supply fish markets in surrounding provinces and as far as Metro Manila. Coconuts, abaca, banana, coffee and jackfruit are the top five permanent crops in the region. Rice and corn are among the chief seasonal crops. Coal mining is also one of the contributors to the region’s economy.
Naga City is one of only two cities of the province of Camarines Sur and the lone chartered city as the province’s religious, cultural, financial, commercial, industrial and business center. The other is Iriga, a component city, as the center of the Rinconada area and Riŋkonāda Language. Within the province lies municipalities of Caramoan, Nabua, Sipocot, Pamplona, Pili and Camarines Sur is the largest among the six provinces in the Bicol Region both by population and land area.
Like all other provinces and regions in the Philippines, Bicol region is dotted with restaurants, hotels, resorts and other commercial establishments. With population at more than six million people, the whole region is sure to have pests. With these establishments in Bicol, pest control is always in demand. Businesses are on the hunt for efficient, reliable and affordable pest control.
